Rachel Hewitt is author of Map of a Nation: A Biography of the Ordnance Survey (London: Granta, 2010), and the forthcoming A Revolution of Feeling (Granta), exploring emotion, failure and radical politics in 1790s Britain. She is Weinrebe Fellow in Life-Writing at the Oxford Centre for Life-Writing. She blogs and tweets entirely in a personal capacity, and will write on subjects including history of emotions, feminism, biography and life-writing, radical politics and the history of cartography.
